Hours

We are open 8:15-3:45 Monday – Friday excluding public holidays.

Open door policy

We encourage parents to come and observe our centre prior to enrolling. We welcome parents and grandparents of current tamariki to come and spend time with us when possible. 

Closures

We close between Christmas and New Year and on public holidays and once a year for Teacher Only Days

8.15am Welcome activities – floor, art, tables

  • Tamariki arrive, find their name tags, and hang up their belongings, get their lunch box
  • Tea ritual avaliable

9.00am Tea ritual away

  • Kaiako and tamariki reset the environment
  • Kaiako breaks start

9.15am Circle time

9.30am Tamariki kai time

  • Possibility for excursions

10.00am Nappy care routine starts

  • Tamariki and kaiako led activities
  • Gardening activities outside

11.00am Kaiako lunches begin

  • Optional circle time
  • Kaiako and tamariki reset the environment 

11.30am Tamariki kai time

  • Nappy care routine check

12.00pm tamariki sleep begins

  • Structured activities with 4 year olds (literacy and numeracy)

1.30pm Sleepers begin to wake

  • Free play activities

2.00pm Kaiako breaks begin

  • Kaiako and tamariki reset the environment
  • Nappy care routine check

2.30pm Tamariki kai time

  • Outside packed down

3.00pm Structured activities (gymnastics/games/stories/music/dance)

  • Kaiako and tamariki tidy up the environment

3.30pm Tamariki collect their belongings
