We have 2 birthdays this month. Lynx is turning 3 Harry is turning 3.
Our drill month went very well in August and we also had a visit from the Akaroa Fire Brigade. They gave us some escape plans to create, stickers for out letter boxes, showed us how to crawl through the house and we got to sit inside the Fire Engine.
Events For Daffodil Day last Friday, the children baked some muffins to sell. They raised $33.55!
September is Bee Awareness month. We will be having lots of discussions around the importance of bees and we can look out for them on our nature walks.
Conservation week 1st-5th Charity Day 5th. We are looking into sponsoring a penguin at Pohatu. Watch this space.

Rhino Day 22nd Kids art work project There are 4 weeks left to order your art that the children have created. The website it is open to place orders. The school code is KZ9035. When you log in, you will be able to select your child's name, see their art and place the order. Payment is via credit card and the preschool gets a percentage of the total profits.
Arrivals Xavier has joined our Preschool whānau. He and his whānau have moved from Christchurch to Little River.
Jackson joined our whānau mid August. He and his whānau moved from Christchurch to Akaroa. They also welcomed a little sister, Monroe Jiyah last week. Lily is rejoining our whānau after a break. Cindy is back after a holiday from next week.
Juan is going to be away on a teaching placement for 4 weeks. She will be able to bring back lots of new ideas for us.
